Yoga for Healthy Ageing (Teacher Training)

Yoga for Healthy Ageing - training for teachers and practitioners to improve their knowledge of the Ageing Process

24-25 Aug 2024 (Weekend)

This training course has been developed for yoga teachers, health industry professionals and students interested in helping older people, to learn the skills necessary to teach that very special "age group" of students. It addresses the basics of  ageing changes and their effect on physical mobility, mental health, and lifestyle.

The course is offered over 2 days for a total of 15 hours with a further 5 hours of case study and observation. A 20 hour certificate will be issued for CPD points and for existing qualified teachers to take these skills to Retirement Centres and Age Care facilities.

The Royal Commission into Age Care has brought a focus to this industry, ensuring that Yoga teachers involved with the older person are fully qualified to care for, and develop appropriate programs for older people to access.
